With reference to Sir Philip Cunliffe-Lister's
P/F Miss Andrewconfidential despatch of 30th January, 1935, on the subject of

the re-employment in Hong Kong of Miss S. H. Andrews as a
Nursing Sister, I have the honour to confirm my telegram No.136
of 17th June, 1935, which read
"Your telegram 7th June confidential.

Please recruit
successor to Duff immediately. Vacancy will exist for
Andrews in autumn.
Writing."
and to inform you that it has now been decided to recruit a
successor to Miss F. M. E. Pepper, whose resignation was reported
to you in my confidential despatch of 12th June, 1935, and to
suggest that Miss Andrews should be considered for this vacancy.
It is understood that if selected, Miss Andrews would start on
the minimum of the scale for Nursing Sisters in Hong Kong and
have seniority next after those already in the Service previous
to her re-engagement.
